How Affiliation Works

Three Rivers Baptist Association exists to serve our churches. When your local Southern Baptist church partners with the association, you gain access to the training, relationships, and resources that help pastors and congregations grow — while keeping full autonomy over your local church and its mission.

Affiliation is a voluntary, cooperative relationship.

Pastoral Encouragement and Care

Our Director of Missions meets with the pastors monthly at Pastor Cohorts in each quadrant. He knows each church, prays for the pastor, and can provide practical support through the ordinary and the difficult seasons.

Training and Resources

Leader development, new pastor orientation, ministry resources, and shared best practices from the affiliated churches of Three Rivers.

Who Is Invited

We invite local Southern Baptist Convention churches in the region — from the Chicago suburbs to rural communities, traditional or contemporary, large or small. Partnering churches should align with the biblical faith and practice outlined in the Baptist Faith & Message. Churches should demonstrate a commitment to cooperation for the purpose of shared strategic collaboration on evangelism, missions, and church planting across the Will, Grundy, LaSalle, Kankakee, Kendall, and DuPage county area. Our churches can also cooperate with the network of the Illinois Baptist State Association for a broader resource and help.

Start a Conversation

The first step is simply a conversation. Reach out and we will walk through what partnership looks like for your church.
